Our purpose:
Have Pets, Will Travel started providing care to pets in 2004 in order to assist others who have schedules that don't permit them to care for their pets on a full-time basis.
Our goal is to enable others in having dependable, reliable, and knowledgeable care for their pets while they are unable to privide it directly, whether it be due to travel or work. At the same time we hope to enrich the pet's life by sharing time and affection and providing tender loving care to them while in the comfort of their own home!
History:
My name is Amy White and I'm the owner of Have Pets, Will Travel. Growing up with every kind of animal imaginable and having Shih-tzu puppies, I developed a special bond with animals at a very early age.
While in college, I decided to major in Biological Science to gain more knowledge pertaining to animals while attending UGA. I also worked at UGA's Animal Resource Facility where I gained direct experience working with even more types of animals. After graduating, I chose to pursue a career working with animals by doing research and development for a local medical device company to go hand and hand with my science background and love of working with animals. I decided that the research arena left me with too many conflicting feelings so after getting some exposure with the business side of things, the choice to pursue working with animals outside of the research arena was a clear one.
With my education, experience, and love for animals, I feel that my background has well prepared me to provide top quality care of animals of every kind. Call us so we can share our time and affection with your beloved pets!
